Today the Federation Party has announced two candidates for the electorate of Brindabella, Jason Potter and Scott Sandford.
“The Federation Party is contesting this vital election because we believe our community’s common-sense voice needs to be heard in our Legislative Assembly,” said Jason Potter, chairman of the A.C.T.’s new Federation Party Division.
“We are a ‘breath of fresh air’, because many in our community are tired of the same old divisive politics and lack of action by the Major Parties, who are doing their usual ‘power-plays’ while ignoring the real needs of our community.”
“It’s time to return politics to the people, because many in our community are telling me that the Major Parties don’t speak for me,” said Jason Potter
BRIEF PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATES:
Jason Potter came to Canberra at the age of 14 in 1987, and has lived in the Canberra region for most of his adult life.
He is an experienced community leader, working in international aid, tertiary education, local church communities and local government services.
Jason is committed to seeing the A.C.T. thrive and grow. He is especially passionate about education and health services, and will soon be releasing policies in these areas, including a transformative plan to turn the A.C.T.’s education system into a profitable export industry for the Canberra economy.
Scott Sandford is a local businessman who has a lot of experience in the local trades and transport industry. Scott is passionate about lowering the cost of living for A.C.T. residents especially when it comes to fees, charges, and rates.
“When a member of our party is elected, we promise to listen to locals, and to never vote against the majority view of their electorate,” said Jason Potter.
